Friends of the Fox River Trail
Over 3 million visitors and 21 years of fun!
2017-18 marks the second winter with the Fox River Trail being cleared of snow. The first year of clearing was a huge success with numbers of visitors more than double the winter months in 2015-16.
If you want to cross country Ski in the area, Allouez Parks grooms the East River Trail. This trail is 2 miles east of the Fox River Trail along the East River. Check with Allouez Parks for information on skiing conditions 920-448-2800.
Friends for the Fox River Trail (FFRT) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to helping the Brown County Parks Department with the maintenance and upkeep of the Fox River State Recreational Trail in Brown County. Over the past 16 years, the FFRT have helped to raise money to pave additional mileage, to build bathrooms, picnic areas and rest stops. Upcoming projects include working with the Village of Allouez on installing a walking trail and picnic area next to the river in Sunset Park. Besides fundraising, the FFRT hosts work days to help remove invasive species and clean up the areas around the trail. View more posts
