The Friends of the Fox River Trail (Friends FRT) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to helping the Brown County Parks Department with the maintenance and upkeep of the Fox River State Recreational Trail in Brown County, Wisconsin.
Over the past 20 years, the Friends FRT have helped raise money to pave additional mileage, build bathrooms, picnic areas and rest stops. Recent projects include working with the Village of Allouez on installing a walking trail and picnic area next to the Fox River in Sunset Park. New projects include working with Brown County to fund resurfacing and extending the paved portion of the existing trail. Besides fundraising, the Friends FRT hosts work days to help remove invasive species and clean up the areas around the trail.
Contact Us to join our email list and receive our monthly e-newsletter. You can also send us a message to share your trail pictures, ask questions about trail projects, become a member of the Friends FRT or make a donation. 100% of the money we receive goes into projects.
We meet friends and conduct business on the 4th Thursday of January, April, July and October at 7pm. The location of the meeting is updated on our monthly newsletters. Some say we have as much laughter as business, but that is OK with us.
