Public Involment Meeting – January 24

Great things are planned for the FRT starting in 2024. The major work will start happening this summer. A consultant working for Brown County Parks has scheduled the first public involvement meeting to show what is planned for 2024 and 2025.

    4:00 PM to 5:30 PM
    Kress Library 
    333 N Broadway, De Pere WI 

There will be a presentation and map displays to show what work will be done and to get comments from the public. This is your chance to see what will be happening to the trail. 

The general membership meeting that was scheduled for Thursday, January 25, 2024 had been canceled. Instead meet your FRT Friends at the Library on Wednesday.

Friends for the Fox River Trail (FFRT) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to helping the Brown County Parks Department with the maintenance and upkeep of the Fox River State Recreational Trail in Brown County. Over the past 16 years, the FFRT have helped to raise money to pave additional mileage, to build bathrooms, picnic areas and rest stops. Upcoming projects include working with the Village of Allouez on installing a walking trail and picnic area next to the river in Sunset Park. Besides fundraising, the FFRT hosts work days to help remove invasive species and clean up the areas around the trail.
